Great Dane - Lucy - Large - Young - Female - Dog
Lucy is a 6 month old black female who came in to rescue as part of a seizure. She came in with her sister and another puppy a week older, all 3 of them were very sick. She was underweight and was also fighting kennel cough and giardia. Lucy can be somewhat protective of her food and toys and would do best in a home with older children or teenagers who understand to give her space. She is a sweet girl and very smart. She knows how to sit and we are working on other commands. She absolutely loves people but does need slower introductions as she's not been socialized and can be very shy with strangers. With time and confidence, she will make a great companion for someone. She is a friendly girl that desires nothing more than a warm lap and someone that can devote time to working with her. Potty-training is still an issue as she has had multiple urinary tract infections since coming in to rescue. She is currently living with other large dogs and 2 cats. She would probably do best with male dogs and no cats as she likes to chase them. Obedience class will be a requirement for Lucy.
